Media Training for Refugees & Immigrants

This workshop will provide refugees & immigrants practical skills they can use to advocate for their communities.

Learn and practice how to:

  • Tell your story
  • Talk to reporters
  • Convey your message effectively
  • Use the media (traditional and social media) to advocate for your community

Featuring: Wardah Khalid, Media Associate with Church World Service’s Immigration and Refugee Program in Washington, D.C. Wardah's writing and commentary has been featured in outlets including the Washington Post, CNN, The Guardian, NPR, US News & World Report, Al Jazeera America, and Haaretz. She is the author of the “Young American Muslim” blog for the Houston Chronicle.
